Spring Has(n't) Sprung

Now the clocks have gone forward spring is just around the corner, and behind a few snow clouds, a couple of rain clouds and one more snow cloud. Unfortunately we seem to have been in winter mode for as long as I can remember but that doesn't mean we should carry on wearing our dark, dull winter woolies. It's time for flowers and whites and lights!

But with yesterday's sudden burst of sunshine I got myself all excited thinking that we'd finally hit spring and got rid of all them big grey clouds that just loom over us for 90% of the year. Looking through one too many shopping sites I came across a few too many items of clothing that I just have to own, hopefully my student loan will stretch to a couple of them!

As you can see there is a fair few light colours, I've got to at least pretend to myself its getting warmer and not just showing a bit of sun to mask the 3 degree temperatures, don't I? I love these 'ditsy' prints that come around each year and this year I'm going to try my hardest to get 'into' fitted trousers. I love them, but can't see them working for myself. Mission accepted!

I'd definitely pair the high waisted jeans with the flowery cami top for when it's a more chilly day but I still want to wear a summer colour. Don't forget a big wooly cardigan to wear over the top though! And the monochrome midi dress goes perfectly with the bright red wedges, perfect for a bit of colour popping. One of my favourite items is probably the cream jacket, I love the drapey front and not to mention how much it matches with the pale coloured satchel bag?!

Just Winging It

Winged bags are EVERYWHERE. If you haven't seen the Celine Trapeze bag then I have to ask you, where have you been? It didn't take long for everyone else, both high street and designer, to catch on with the trend and give their bags a pair of wings.

I think this is the perfect style of bag: to me a bag should be big and have room for all those 'necessities' you have, but probably hardly ever use. At least you've got them in your bag just incase, I guess. My bag is a touch on the large side and often gets confused with a small suitcase but it's sizeable enough to fit my MacBook Pro in, which is pretty important when it comes to choosing a handbag.

Having this extra winged bit on the sides means you've got extra room to cram stuff into your bag but because it's slightly different to the front section of the bag, it means your bag doesn't look big and bulky like you've got everything but the kitchen sink hanging from your arm. Amazing, right? Bag looks smaller, but is actually bigger. Brownie points to Celine, Now until I have roughly £1500 lying around collecting dust I'm going to have to got for one of the slightly cheaper options!

The Topshop bag gets my vote, I love the zip detailing and gold buckle! And what's even better? It's a much more affordable £50 woo hoo, race you to the checkout!

What will it be next? Feet on a bag so it stands up straight?

Primark's Summer Drop

Love it or loathe it, you can't deny that Primark have seriously stepped up their game in order to compete with the rest of the high street! Although their prices have been creeping up they are still without a doubt the cheapest prices around.

They haven't disappointed yet again with a amazing line of summer clothes and from as little as £4 which means there's no need to feel guilty about that cheeky little lunch time shop. One thing that would be an absolute dream (not for the bank card though) is a Primark website, oh if only!

So their spring/summer lookbook has been released and I can't stop gasping at it! This season is all about denim, pretty dresses and wearing your hair up to show off said dresses.

Sounds like my cup of tea, take a look!

And if that wasn't enough of summer goodness I've just thrown together a few of their items that will definitely be making their way into my shopping basket.

I absolutely love the pinky coloured dip hem dress, perfect for sunny days! And that multi-chained necklace would look great over the cream laced top and a pair of shorts and sandals. Easy outfit all dressed up!

I'm sorry for making you want to spend copious amounts of money, but at Primark prices you needn't feel bad! It's summer too, so get yourself out of the dark jumper and pull on some bright colours!

I'm Loving...Mulberry

A girl can dream...right? Well I do that's for sure - about those pretty little Mulberry things. When I have a couple of hundred pounds to spare I'll buy one. One day. I hope.

I've piled together a collage of my favourite bags, purses, satchels and clutches. Looking back it might not have been that good of an idea. I've fallen right back in love with the classic Bayswater and the burnt orange colour of the Continental purse is absolutely gorgeous!

Amazing, right? You don't even need to answer that. In fact I'm sure you're already totting up the totals and working out in how many days/weeks/months/years (delete as appropriate) it will be til you can have one of these babies sat on your arm. If it's anything less than a couple of decades then I'm incredibly jealous!

I'm going to have to stop rambling on about all things Mulberry now before I fall into some sort of leather handbag related coma.

Which one is your favourite?

Long Lashes with Lash Boutique False Eyelashes

Since the Clothes Show Live 2012 I've been hooked on Lash Boutique eyelashes! The quality of them is without a doubt the best I've ever used, possibly due to the fact they are sterilised human hair or maybe it's just great work put into them?

I picked up three pairs from the Clothes Show: Lou Lou, Chloe and Melanie, and since then I've bought four more pairs: two more Lou Lou, Jenny and Lydia. Can you tell which ones are my favourite?

As you can see, they're all quite similar, but so different at the same time. Lou Lou is my favourite for a night out, they give great volume but a really long, natural look. Whereas for daytime I'd wear Melanie which provides the lashes with a soft natural looking flutter, while these lashes are quite thin but the strip is dense which gives a full look to the eye.

The lashes come with a black glue which is something I'd never heard of until then - I'd never look back now, it really is the best eyelash glue I've ever used and blends really well with eyeliner and the lash line! What's even better is that at the end of a night when I take off my lashes it's so easy to pick off the glue with tweezers leaving the lashes good as new and ready for their next wear. I've had plenty of wears out of each pair, probably around 10 times if you're careful when removing the glue.

In this photo I'm wearing Lou Lou lashes. You can see that they are there, but they aren't too 'in your face' and off-putting which is what I was always scared about when it came to false eyelashes. After using these lashes I can honestly say I'd never swap to another brand - amazing.

The lashes are priced at £6.99 each but what's better is the fact they are on offer - two for £10!
