ShopStyle Festival Outfit Challenge.

So yesterday, a lovely little email popped up on my inbox from the guys at iCrossing telling me about the ShopStyle competition. Basically, to get your hands on a cool £1,000 all you have to do is design a festival outfit for less than £200!

Here is my attempt.

Dungarees - River Island | Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters | Top - Miss Selfridge | Raincoat - Topshop | Bag - Topshop | Wellies - Joules

What do you think? I love it. I wanted to use the dungarees as the talking point because of their ombre styling so I kept the top underneath a plain grey. The wellies, bright and colourful - perfect for running around muddied fields but still looking fabulous. Thrown on for accessories is some rounded sunglasses and a safari patterned rucksack. I chose a rucksack because it's easy enough to swing it over your shoulder and has enough space for all necessities come rain or shine. And just incase there is rain, my favourite part of the outfit is the clear raincoat - there is nothing I hate more than wearing a fabulous outfit for it to be covered by a big, stuffy coat. Alas, you needn't worry about that any more. Put this over your outfit to keep dry and let everyone see how fashionable you are underneath!

To enter the competition, you better be quick though as it finished on Friday 21st June.
But all you need to do it:
- Create your own outfit and post it on your blog. Make sure it costs no more than £200!
- Email it to shopping challenger@popsugar.com
- Comment on Natasha's post letting her know you have entered

Worldwide Wardrobe

Travel Supermarket are running a styling competition called Worldwide Wardrobe where us as bloggers are challenged to style up five outfits that each come in at under £200. There are five locations that each outfit has to be set to: clubbing in Ibiza, sightseeing in Paris, shopping in London, Full Moon party in Thailand and cocktails in New York.

The prize of the competition is a paid trip to the city plus £200 to buy the outfit you have styled. If you want to enter, then head on over here.

Here are my entries:

I've never been to Ibiza, but after visiting Magaluf last year I assume their nightlifes are somewhat similar. I went for a bright outfit with a multicoloured crop top and a bag that clashes with a similar print and colour scheme. Heels are an absolute no-no for the clubs, especially if you're walking from bar to bar at god knows what time so instead I chose some red sandals from Topshop, they match with the red colours in the top and would be comfortable for plenty of dancing. For the bottom half, I've chosen the ever-popular disco pant style shorts. Perfect for Ibiza to show off them lovely tanned legs. And of course, no Ibizan outfit would be complete without a bracelet that simply picks up yet more colour from the rest of the outfit to emphasise the bright, loud colours.

Sightseeing in Paris sounds like an absolute dream, right? The outfit I chose was a classic monochrome look with a cream draping jacket on top of a plain midi dress. To brighten the outfit up, I included a tomato red bag from Topshop - perfect for attention grabbing! I swapped heels for flat sandals from Zara, nobody wants to be tottering around collecting blisters while checking out the sights of Paris, it's better to be comfortable and enjoy what time you have there. For the finishing touches of the outfit I have a mixed metal necklace from Miss Selfridge and a chunky ring from H&M to add some accessories to the look.

Everybody goes to London to shop, it probably has every single store you could ever want. For a successful day of shopping you need to wear something easy incase you need to pop into the changing rooms, I went for the classic Leigh Topshop jeans, and a brightly colours peplum top. The rest of the outfit I kept plain and simple as to not clash with the multicoloured top. I also chose a pair of trusty Topshop boots with stud detailing to 'toughen' up the girly outfit a little bit. The Zara bag is roomy enough to carry everything you may possibly need, and more. Important for a full day out!

A Full Moon party in Thailand, actually sounds amazing. The outfit I chose doesn't create too much fuss and wasn't too expensive as it's likely to get stained with neon body paint and wet and sandy on the beach. The top is an oversized top which can be worn off one shoulder, or if you're feeling a little creative the neckline can easily be cut off to make it just a little more baggy. Underneath I picked a bright blue bikini to poke out through the top and on the bottom half is some bright pink, denim hot pants. The clutch bag is my favourite, and keeping with the neon theme is a bright orange. Perfect for storing little necessities such as keys and a bit of money. The shoes are some t-bar sandals from Miss Selfridge to protect your tootsies from anything sharp (or alive) lurking in the sand.

Cocktails in New York, yeah, if only! A bright red midi dress with a plain black outfit was my idea of smart but standy-outyy and perfect for city life. The dress also has a cutout midriff, not what you'd expect but who likes to stick to expectations these days? The Zara clutch bag comes with an attached bracelet, perfect for a little bit of extra security in a busy bar or street. The sandals I chose are classic, but simple and don't distract any attention from the dress that does all the talking. Over the top of the dress is a draping black leather jacket with excess material at the front that hangs nicely.

Playing on Polyvore

I may be late to the party but after experimenting with Polyvore in university I loved creating sets of outfits that ooze inspiration and style!

The website is really easy to get around and there's so much fun to create boards of clothing and pictures that piece together trends or just simply items you like.

I entered a couple of contests on the website by creating boards to a set brief.

I love the orange colour of this bag so decided to pick up on it with the bright jacket too. For the rest of the outfit I chose to stick to casual, more neutral colours so the bag and jacket remained centre of attention. The Louboutins are gorgeous too and can be worn to a casual taste aswell.

Now it's starting to transform into Spring/Summer (who am I kidding? It's currently snowing outside!) UGG boots are taking the back shelf on the wardrobe making way for the new collection of shoes including trainers and sad shoes. The whole collection revolves around a spicy, exotic theme but I can't help think they will get much use in our English weather!

This is my kind of style! A beach with the sun beaming down wearing a lovely bikini, tousled hair, a huge bag filled with 'essentials' I probably won't use and of course - some sunglasses. Holiday shopping is probably one of my favourite kinds of shopping and I could definitely not say no to either of these swim suits! I love the vintage-style bikini shape as opposed to the usual triangle cups that fasten with strings.

MoneySuper Market - Passion for Fashion

As part of a competition with A Little Bird Told Me and MoneySuper Market there is a challenge circling blogger-sphere to create three looks - casual, party and beach with a limit of £200 per outfit.

Why not add my two cents to the game?

First off is the casual look. The aim of the style was to be cool and comfortable yet still stand out from the crowd: the cherry-red jeans from Topshop are perfect for this. With the rest of the outfit toned down to monochrome colours it allows the jeans to 'do the talking' - as some would say. The three chain linked rings add a mix of metal tones to the outfit along with the gold studded boots and the gold arrow necklace.

Next up is the party look I created using a printed playsuit I came across while scouring the beachwear pages. Too nice for the beach, perfect for a night out on the town with a cocktail and some friends! Chunky heels are another bold statement set by the outfit but the accessories are toned down to neutral colours and minimal gold jewellery to allow the print to be the main focus.

Finally is the beach wear, my favourite. Bikini shopping is probably one of the most exciting things to shop for, yes? After all, who doesn't look a summer holiday by the pool with a ice cold drink in hand? To brighten up the look I added bright blue denim shorts for a piece of colour in all the white clothing. And one last touch is obviously a pair of sunglasses, not only for protecting your eyes from the sun but for people-watching without getting noticed!
