We Meet Again, Hello.

Here I am again!

I've moved back home for the Summer now after a hectic couple of weeks at uni, deadlines were met and all goodbyes were said. But not for long, I'm off to Manchester at the weekend to celebrate the 21st birthday of one of my girls.

The question raised is, what do I wear?!

The day will be spent sipping (who sips these days? knocking back!) many cocktails, wine, champagne and probably a little bit of vodka in there somewhere.

Excited doesn't even cover it. I've never been to Manchester before but I can assure you Revolution is on my list. I think an aim to visit as many Revs as possible is a challenge I am willing to accept. Currently on my Revs bucket list is Sunderland and Cambridge. Maybe by the end of the year there will be a couple more on there? Mission begins.

So, Manchester. What on earth do I wear? Smart, but casual, but not too casual is the look I'm wanting to go for. Oh, and hopefully something with a bit of colour as I'm hoping for the sun to shine.

Topshop - Topshop - Internacionale - River Island

I absolutely love the colour coral, orange what ever it's called - I love it! So the lace dress is definitely a winner. The mesh panelled dress is from Internacionale, not a place I would think of looking for a night out dress but I've not seen anything like this before. Long sleeved though, will it be too hot for a night out? The same goes for the fluorescent pink dress from Topshop. Look at the mini thigh slit though! And it has a cut out in the back. I love cut out pieces! The graphic dress is lovely too, probably only for the daring. At first I wasn't sure if that orangey circle was on the dress or a mark on the picture - it's meant to be there though. Dressing like some sort of board game could be on the cards.

Do You Know Your High Street From Your Designer? #2

So how did you do before? I was definitely fooled and I knew which was which right from the start!

We've got another one today to see if you really do need to spend infinite amounts of money in order to look good or if you can pass off with the best buys at bargain prices.

It's a brown leather satchel this time. A lov ely shoulder bag, both with an envelope style flap over the top and a central buckle with two belt-style fastenings. The only difference is, £1650 - not the sort of money that can be thrown about when it's not necessary.

Ok, one is from Proenza Schoulder and costs £1685 and one is from Atmos&Here and costs a mere $36 AUD. But the question is, which is which?

Did you guess? Well infact, the first bag is from Atmos&Here and is in the sale, reduced from $59.94 and the second, lighter brown, bag is the designer satchel from Proenza Schoulder at an eye-watering £1685!

It goes to show, designer isn't always nice and...is there really much difference besides the price tag and shade of brown?

Do You Know Your Designer From Your High Street? #1

Think you can tell a designer piece worth hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds against a high street piece worth just a tiny fraction of the cost? Lets see.

One of these peplum dresses is by Altuzarra and costs £1250, and one is from Jane Norman and costs a slightly cheaper £40.

However, which is which?

With a difference of £1210, the dress on the left is the high street one and the right is designer and ridiculously expensive. Lucky for me, I prefer the Jane Norman one too!

It just shows that designer is not always better and you can always find a cheaper alternative. Nobody would hardly ever know the difference.
